Meet Dr Mehran Sanei
Dr Sanei graduated from Glasgow Dental Hospital in 1992. He went on to complete two years of Hospital training in Maxillo-Facial Surgery, and in 1994 entered private practice in the City of London.
In 1996 he enrolled in a three year post graduate Masters programme at the Ohio State University (USA) and received his Masters Degree in Prosthodontics and certificate of Speciality in 1999.
Since then he has been practicing in the West End of London and has been a part time lecturer at the Eastman Dental Hospital up until 2004.
Dr Sanei is recognised by the British General Dental Council and the American Dental Association as a Specialist in Prosthodontics.
He has given national and international lectures on the topics of Cosmetics and Implantology, has been an active member of the American Dental Society of London since 1999, and has served as its secretary from 2007 till 2010.
Dr Sanei is also the Principal and practices at Dental Perfection a dental practice in Hampstead, where he carries out a variety of specialist services including, implant therapy, crowns & bridges and cosmetic dentistry, alongside other specialist colleagues.
He lives in North London with his wife and 3 sons and is passionate about dentistry, art, sport and music.

A specialist is a qualified dentist that has undertaken many additional years of formal postgraduate education, teaching, research and training in a chosen discipline of dentistry.
Having completed this intense and long training programme, the dentist is granted a certificate in the speciality and is then registered as a specialist within that discipline with the General Dental Council.

General dentists will refer complex and challenging dental treatment which they are not capable of tackling to a specialist they know and trust so that the patient can benefit from the best standards of diagnostic and dental care.
The additional training, and higher level of diagnostic and technical expertise means specialist fees are in general more than generalists, but this is negated by the fact that the quality of the work is superior and when looked after can provide a longer and better service.
